“In the future, we need to combine our art and culture with technology. It has been one of many concerns of Vocational College, UGM. In relation to that, after the release of Tengkorak The Movie with 40 thousand from around Indonesia, in the near future we will release our second movie entitled Gadjah Mada,” the Dean continued. The Dean also welcomed this cooperation, moreover in the past has carried academic activities in order to facilitate students of Vocational College to learn.
Sri Kuncoro, the Chairman of Balai Budaya Minomartani Community, in his remarks conveyed his gratitude to Vocational College for welcoming the group consisting of the Advisor, the Treasurers, and Public Relation-Social Media. “So far, we have been assisted a lot by the students and the lecturers of English Study Program, mainly for the spontaneous translation program at the wayang shows in Balai Budaya Minomartani. I hope the other program can be carried together.” He said.
Bagas Arga Santosa, the Chairman of Sanggar Seni Kinanthi Sekar expressed his happiness to be able to join the cooperation with the English Study Program. He conveyed that the cooperation with the art studio he chaired had started since 2014. Some of the programs that have collaborated were mentoring students to learn directly in the field of event management. “One of the events that English students participated in as the committee was the DIY-Kyoto Sister City painting competition,” said Bagas.
Apart from the Dean, the Chairman and member of Balai Budaya Minomartani Community, and Sanggar Seni Kinanti Sekar, the signing was also attended by the Vice Dean for Cooperation, Manager of the DBSMB Cooperation Unit, the Head of English Study Program, and all of the lecturers of English Study Program.
